Wedding Transportation

Welcome BBQ 

From Highlands/ OEI/ 200 Main: The Mountaintop Lake Club is around 25 minutes from Highlands. We will have transportation to and from the welcome BBQ. The bus will depart Highlands at 5:30PM. Please meet the bus outside of 200 Main Hotel, on Oak Street.

Drivers: Please feel free to drive directly to the Mountaintop Lake Club. Please note that parking is limited so please carpool if possible. Directions are below. There will also be signs for Hattler/Gwin Wedding once you’re on 64 East and at turns to Fenley Forest Drive.

From main light in Highlands, take 64 East, towards Cashiers. Go 6.8 miles to a left turn on Norton Road(Sign)
Go 3.50 miles to stop sign on North Norton Road(sign) and veer right .05 to left on Fenely Forest Road(sign). Continue for Appx. 2 miles to Lake Club on right (Balloons and sign)

Wedding Day

From OEI/200 Main: There will be buses transporting guests to the farm. The venue is about a 5 minute drive from Main Street. Buses will meet outside the Old Edwards Inn (Church and 4th) and Front of 200 Main starting at 4:45PM and running every 10 minutes until 5:15PM. The same buses will provide transportation after the wedding.

Drivers: There is plenty of parking at the Farm the address is 336 Arnold Road, Highlands NC, 28741.


Old Edwards Inn

The Inn is one of the hotels we have a room block available. It is located on Main Street in the center of town. It is the perfect place to relax and be pampered. They have traditional hotel rooms as well as multi bedroom cottages. Rates start at $329 per night. 

200 Main

Owned and operated by the Old Edwards Inn and is just right down the street. Rates start at $165 per night. There is no block here but you can mention you we're the Hattler/Gwin Wedding Party. 

The Park On Main

The Park on Main Street is an upscale boutique hotel located centrally on Main Street, just down the street from Old Edwards Inn. Please reference Hattler/Gwin Wedding Party, all reservations must be booked by April 19th to be included in the block. Rooms start at $329 per night. Please note that all rooms are suites and include a pull out couch.

Highlands Inn & Lodge

Highlands Inn is located just across the street from Old Edwards Inn on Main Street. It is more of a traditional Inn in size but a perfect place to stay and be central to everything. The Lodge overlooks the town but is still in walking distance to Main Street.

The Main Street Inn

Located in the middle of town within walking distance to 200 Main and Old Edwards Inn. A quaint inn with nice accommodations. 

Mountain Lake Rentals

Debby Hattler can assist with booking a rental in Cashiers or Highlands. Great option for those looking to stay bit longer and enjoy the mountains or those traveling with a group! 

Getting There


There are two major and two regional airport within a few hours of Highlands. 

AVL Airport- Asheville is the closest airport to Highlands, the drive is around 1.5 hours. 

ATL Airport- Atlanta is around 2.5 hours from Highlands 

GSP Airport- Greenvile-Spartanburg airport is about an 2 hour drive to Highlands. 

CLT Airport- Charlotte Douglas International is about a 3 hour drive to Highlands
